With high temperatures of 26°C in January and February, Dubai is one of our favourite places to visit when looking for a bit of winter sun. But there’s so much more to do than just lying by the pool. If you’re looking for a bit of fun and adventure along with your sightseeing then Dubai is the destination for you and these are the attractions you won’t want to miss.
1. Soak up the sun at Wild Wadi Waterpark™
There’s no better way to cool down from the Dubai heat than a visit to a water park, and Wild Wadi is one of the best! Whether you want the big thrills of body slides and raft rides like Jumeirah Sceirah and Tantrum Alley or prefer a trip down Juha’s Journey lazy river there are attractions here that will keep the thrills going all day long.
There’s even Juha’s Dhow & Lagoon, a family-friendly interactive play area specifically designed for the younger members of your family - these thrills are a little bit smaller but still just as fun!
Once all the excitement has worked up an appetite, four restaurants offer quick bites and sit-down meals that will have you refuelled in no time, with burgers, pizza, salads, shawarmas, nachos and more on the menu.

2. Be amazed by Dubai's only indoor rainforest at Green Planet™
This fully immersive indoor rainforest allows you to get up close to some of the flora and fauna found in a tropical ecosystem. Split across four interactive levels - Flooded Rainforest, Forest Floor, The Midstory and The Canopy - there are more than 3,000 plants and animals to discover, including Lemon the sloth, Fluffy the bearcat, and Kendrick the lemur.
To make this a truly authentic experience, twice a day guests at Green Planet™ Dubai can find themselves in the middle of a tropical thunderstorm, complete with all the physical elements that entails. There are places to watch while staying dry, but we love getting fully immersed in the rainfall! You’ll soon dry off in the tropical heat!

3. Have a splash-filled day of interactive fun at LEGOLAND® Dubai Water Park
When we said there’s no better way to cool down in Dubai than a visit to a water park we meant it, so we couldn’t just have one on this list! LEGOLAND® Dubai Water Park was designed with young families in mind, so if you’re visiting with kids aged 12 and under in particular, this is the water park for you.
Highlights include Build-A-Raft River, where guests can design their very own LEGO® vessel to take them around the lazy river, and the DUPLO® Splash Safari. But there are plenty of thrilling rides for adults to enjoy too, including the 60-foot tall body slide Splash Out and 312-foot long raft ride Red Rush.

4. Take a guided tour of the Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab is Dubai’s most iconic hotel and is the epitome of Arabian luxury. But you don’t need to be able to afford a night in one of its rooms to discover why this hotel is called the Jewel of Jumeirah.
On this guided tour you’ll begin in the lavish, 600 ft high atrium before heading to the Royal Suite and the Experience Suite, where you’ll discover more about the history of the Burj Al Arab. You’ll even have the chance to dine at UMA, an exclusive lounge and terrace that has unrivalled views of the Arabian Gulf.
